Prayer of a Student Teacher

God, we are grateful of the blessing that you have showered upon us. Thank you for the gift of life and for this wonderful day that we are about to share together with your guidance and protection. Bless us all as we are about to deal a new lesson. Lord, we ask forgiveness for all the sins that we have committed and we are sincerely accepting your Holy Spirit to rule our hearts and minds. Empower me to teach with love, for I help to shape the world. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, one God, forever and ever and Amen.

MY STATEMENT OF PERSONAL EDUCATION PHILOSOPHY

            

             Once you enter the world of teaching, as a teacher I believe that you should have principle and philosophy in life. On here, I would emphasized the quotation, “the philosophy of education is the “window” to the world and a “compass” in life”. The philosophies of education serves as a vision towards possible things in becoming a teacher and the “compass” is my guide to the right path in toward the responsibilities of being an educator.

          I’m an existentialist type of teacher, even my students have different kind of personalities I want them to appreciate the little thing that they had. As their second parent, I want to educate them not just with academic things but also to have self-control on their own actions and feelings. Since existence precedes essence, my role is to inform my students about their own essence. In a way that I will expose them to a kind of environment where they are comfortable with in order to find their happiness in life. Another thing is, in terms of decision making I will consider my learners’ feelings. So that, I will let them to express their own ideas and opinions. Moreover, being an existentialist educator I know to myself that every students have their own talents and skills. So that, I facilitate activities/performances with reference to their style of learning and excellence. I believe every child needs understanding and stimulating atmosphere where as their facilitator I see to it that I motivate each and every one. For them to become matured enough to understand every situation that they may face. . I also help my students know themselves and their place in society. My teaching methods focus on my students, the purpose my plans and strategies are to meet my learners’ needs.

          Furthermore, I based my philosophies on some efficient and effective concept formulated by some professionals. Likewise, the four (4) pillar of education wherein my students will be learning to read & write, learning to enjoy life, learning by doing of skill & attitude and learning to do know, live, & to be happy. Both teaching and learning is a life time process, it doesn’t have an end. Having a passion and love to a profession are the best way to become better educator. It is indeed that, every nations needs someone who will mold the youth to become efficient citizen, and one of those is the teacher. Nowadays, each society is very competitive so every individual must have a good standards of education. But then again, being intelligent is not enough as a teacher I would like to emphasize totem the essence of having a good behavior to build harmonious relationship with other people.

          I will always strive to be the best teacher. I will teach my student well because every children are the future of every nation. I will do everything to become efficient and effective educator. I hope all the teachers in the world will also be reminded that they have a big responsibility in molding the future generation.
